Chimney sweeping
I use the latest technology to sweep your chimney more effectively and efficiently ensuring a clean flue.

Upon arrival your chimney stack is checked from ground level for any damage, if cleaning a stove we check the appliance is correctly installed. After setup your chimney is swept using the modern power sweeping method, the debris is checked and removed away from the fireplace area and a smoke draw test, then it's ready for use. I then write up a report and issue a certificate.
I sweep domestic & commercial chimneys across Ceredigion including Lampeter, Aberaeron, Tregaron, Llandysul, Aberarth, New Quay and Aberystwyth.
I sweep open fires, wood burners, wood pellet boilers, biomass boilers, Aga / Rayburn (range cookers) and boiler flues.

Stove Servicing / Maintenance
Along with getting your chimney swept regularly, it’s also important to check your stove regularly to identify and put right any problems. As part of our stove maintenance service, we will:

Remove firebricks, throat plate / baffle and check for warping / damage

Clean out the inside of the stove

Clean the glass

Check the stove casing integrity

Check the door fit

Check for worn, loose or missing rope seals

Check seals on glass

Check and if necessary reapply fire cement to seals on vitreous pipes and flue connectors

Check air way controls and clean air channels

Check for damaged or cracked fire bricks

Check seals around register plate

Produce a summary report with any recommendations

We carry a range of standard size rope seals and generic flat fire bricks with us and can provide and fit replacement parts on the day. There is no charge for fitting, just for parts which will vary depending on your stove.

Chimney CCTV inspections
Your chimney / flue liner deteriorates over time and a camera inspection of the inside can provide reassurance that there are no visible faults and that the integrity of your chimney is not compromised. We also offer external chimney inspection via a camera drone to inspect the integrity of your chimney stack and highlighting any potential problem areas.

Chimney cowls supplied and fitted
Need a bird guard or cowl fitted to a chimney pot, get in touch and we can supply and fit.

Bird nest removal
Do you suspect you have a bird nesting in your chimney. We are approved to remove this for you.
